DJ Drama, now officially signed to Grand Hustle, comes out with a much needed T.I. mixtape.
Much needed? Yes. When you're one of the top rappers in the south, you need to put out a mixtape every other week......or twice a year if they sound like this one. This one is hot, for T.I. fans, southern fans, and just rap fans in general. T.I.'s got a good ear for beats, and this doesn't dissappoint.
THE LEAK

Excellent start to the mixtape. Nice beat, with a late eighties soul feel. Nice flow. Nice track
FRONT BACK SIDE TO SIDE
Ode to the famous UGK line, which was later borrowed by Cam'ron. Twice. But the way Mannie hooks this up, its nice. He chops up the hook nicely. TI rips it. Bun B appearance on the track, and has he ever really spit a bad verse?
YOU AINT FLY
This beat kinda started off like that Ray Cash beat. Anyway, he's basically talking about niggas who think they're ballin' or doing somethin' fly, but in actuality, their not.
I got a watch with no diamonds/that costs twice as much as that bullshit you wear when you call yourself shinin'/and ya ring? boy stop it/you need to take bullshit and ya chain off and put it in ya pocket
BUSINESS AS USUAL

Sounds good again, the beat is hot, he's going hard on this one. Nice synth.

I'm really not a big Mac Boney fan, or PSC fan, for that matter.

Another soung about fly-ness. Some guy named "Governer" on the track. Its aight.

Featuring Sleepy Brown, who says that he actually gave the ATL their sound. I really hate "pimp-singing" choruses. Except for a few exceptions like, "Lets get away, or Stay Fresh".

Young Dro and Xtaci let TI take a break on this one. DJ Don Cannon will be heard about in 06, his production is fire.

Damn, this shit is jammin. Fake ass Lloyd or Jazze Pha on the hook, but the female voice sets it off. Listen to this while chillin wit ya chick. The beat is not unlike the Cassidy and Raekwon "So Long". Also, not unlike Mike Jones, TI has yet to ever dissappoint me when rapping nasty about the ladies.

COMMENTS: Excellent, excellent mixtape. Good way to start off '06. TI's flow never dissappoints, and his ear for beats is incredible. Good mixtape all around. Also, In the "Mixtape Downloads" section on the left of nastack.com, I'm going to start ranking the top 5 mixtapes that I've reviewed. Whenever something like this good comes out, I'll have to rearrange the list as neccessary. You'll know when I've actually started doing this, because the Nas mixtape will be #1.

I'm feeling this review bruh. Off-topic: Where can I find any review of Kamikaze? I see links for Mississippi artists but not sure if you've done something on him yet. Supposedly there's a new one, "Draft Day". That's how I found this site, internet searching and all.
On T.I., I wouldn't need any other vouchers for da man. I've been with him ever since I popped in the first CD I bought of his (Serious or So Serious).
